Mike Myers is a huge fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team, so much in fact, that he made a movie involving the team entitled The Love Guru. The plot is about Pitka (Mike Myers) is an American raised by gurus who returns to Canada in order to break into the self-help business. His first challenge is to settle the romantic troubles and subsequent professional skid of star Toronto Maple Leafs hockey player Darren Roanoke (Romany Malco) whose wife Prudence (Meagan Good) left him for rival skater Jacques Grande (Justin Timberlake). Jessica Alba plays Jane Bullard, the owner of the team and Pitka’s (Mike’s) love interest.
The movie is scheduled for June 20th release.
